Knollwood Lakes Governance

The Knollwood Lakes community is a Home Owners Association (HOA) which is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of five property owning residents. Board members are elected for a term of two years at a general membership meeting held each January. The terms of the board members are staggered with two members being elected one year and the other three members elected the next.

Welcome

Tamara & Justin Burns, Co-Chairmen

The Welcome Committee interfaces with new residents to help make their transition into the Knollwood Lakes community an easy and low stress process.

Tennis

Lucinda Mills, Chairman

The Tennis Committee coordinates the use and maintenance of the four community tennis courts. It also facilitates competition play at the Knollwood Lakes courts of the ALTA league teams .

Crime Watch

Loraine Lindsey, Chairman

The Crime Watch Committee works with the local police department through the COPS program to keep crime in the community under control.

Social

Tamara & Justin Burns, Co-Chairman

The Social Committee plans and carries out social events for the community. The events calendar spans a wide range of activities from Christmas parties to community wide garage sales.

Pool

Lillie Polson, Chairman

The Pool Committee coordinates the yearly maintenance and operation of the pool.  It issues pool entry wrist bands, coordinates with the pool management company, and provides special ad hoc training.  Wristbands are issued to KWL residents and are necessary for access to the pool.

Adults (18+) Blue
Teenagers (13-17) Orange
Children (4-12) Purple
Guests (3 per house) Yellow

Pool parties are offered at an additional cost.

Compliance

Fil Vizon, Chairman

The Compliance Committee serves as a watchdog to ensure that the community maintains awareness of and follows all laws and regulations pertaining to HOAs operating in the state of Georgia. Additionally, it monitors any proposals or plans being submitted to the Gwinnett County Board of Supervisors for new area construction which has a direct impact on our community.

Architectural Review (ARC)

Judith Cooper, Chairman

The Architectural Review Committee is tasked with providing assistance in establishing and enforcing community standards as set forth in the Architectural And Landscape Guidelines And Owner Modification Request Guide. The mission of this committee is to maintain the appearance of the community at a level at which residents take pride and where non-residents would wish to live.

Website

The Website Committee works with the Board of Directors and the webpage developer to streamline and maintain an effective website for the Knollwood Lakes community.
