Knollwood Lakes Governance

Joe first moved to Knollwood Lakes in the spring of 2004, ten months later he suffered a total fire loss along with two of his neighbors. He relocated within Gwinnett County rather than rebuild but 4 years later was drawn back to his old neighborhood and purchased another home on Shady Spring Way. Later that year he married his current wife Jeanne, and together they have a blended family of 7 children. Joe graduated from Norfolk State University and did graduate work at Old Dominion University and the University of Baltimore. He’s worked for several insurance companies as a property and casualty claims executive, he retired from his last corporate position at CNA Insurance in 2005 where he served as Vice President of Field Operations. Retirement didn’t last long, 8 months later he began a career in marketing with GAB Insurance Services where he worked until 2016. He’s currently employed as a substitute teacher and part-time Jury Bailiff for Gwinnett County. Joe has served on the Board of Directors for more than 4 years; his leadership skills have been instrumental in making numerous improvements within the community.

Rick is a native Atlantan, living his whole life in Gwinnett County. He and his wife Tina are twenty-year residents of Knollwood Lakes. Rick worked for Ciba-Geigy for twenty-six years before he decided to start his own business. He and Tina have two sons Craig and Scott that also work for the family-owned business. He has seven grandkids including two sets of twins. He enjoys anything outdoors from camping, boating, hiking, grilling, and coaching his grandkids. Rick has served on the Board of Directors for several years, and also served the community as Clubhouse Manager and as a member of the Architectural Committee, Crime Watch Committee and Welcome Committee.

Dave is a twelve year resident of Knollwood Lakes. He and his wife grew up in Wisconsin and were high school sweethearts. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Madison with a BS and MS in Chemical Engineering. Dave worked for General Electric for 17 years and then Honeywell for 23 years serving as a laboratory manager at both companies. He is a licensed professional engineer. He and his wife, Linda, have 6 children, 24 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Dave has served on the Board of Directors for 7 years and also serves the community as Clubhouse Manager.

Steve’s professional career spans over 20 years in logistics and transportation across leadership, operations, sales, and revenue management. Steve and his wife Sharika joined the Knollwood Lakes community in 2011, along with their four children, two boys and two girls. As a family, they wanted to be a part of a community that represented strong values, and integrity that could be felt through the appeal of its beauty and serenity. The Hudsons felt they found this in Knollwood Lakes. Outside of work, Steve enjoys reading, serving in ministry and spending time with his family having devotionals, where they discuss life, faith, social responsibility and ways to impact and influence community.

Odell Taylor is a five-year resident of Knollwood Lakes. He grew up in Mississippi, where he attended the University of Southern Mississippi. Odell is a 15-year employee of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, serves as the Vice President of Strategic Alliances & Partnerships. He has two children and three grandchildren. This is his first year on the board. He serves as Community Compliance Officer.
